Industrial water and wastewater treatment, built for Egypt.

Reverse osmosis, wastewater management, and industrial effluent — designed, built and operated by MAM.

The treatment process runs in six stages, from raw water intake to reuse or discharge:

  1. Intake
  2. Screening
  3. Filtration
  4. Reverse osmosis
  5. Post-treatment
  6. Reuse / discharge

What we do

Seven service lines, from a water management audit to running the plant.

Consultancy

Water management audits that find where a plant is losing money on water it has already paid for. The output is a prioritised, costed list of what to fix first.

  • Site water balance across intake, process use, and discharge
  • Review of the current treatment train against its actual duty
  • Compliance check against discharge permit conditions
  • Prioritised, costed list of improvement opportunities

Design and build

Engineering, custom design and manufacture of a water or wastewater treatment system as a single scope — from process design through to a commissioned, working plant.

  • Process and detailed engineering design
  • Custom equipment design and manufacture where standard packages don't fit the duty
  • Procurement and fabrication management
  • Installation and commissioning on site
  • As-built documentation and operating procedures

Equipment supply

Water and wastewater treatment equipment supplied on its own, for sites that need hardware rather than a full design-build contract — from a single replacement dosing pump to a complete filtration skid.

  • Dosing systems for coagulants, flocculants, biocides, scale and corrosion inhibitors
  • pH, ORP and conductivity controllers and probes
  • Water softeners
  • Filtration equipment (media, cartridge, and self-cleaning screen filters)
  • Reverse osmosis units
  • Wastewater treatment equipment
  • Laboratory equipment for on-site water quality testing

Operation

Designing, constructing and then operating an industrial wastewater treatment plant on the client's behalf, so the client's own team isn't carrying day-to-day process chemistry and compliance risk.

  • Plant design and construction sized to the client's actual effluent load
  • Day-to-day operation and process control
  • Consumables and chemical dosing management
  • Discharge quality monitoring and compliance reporting
  • Planned and reactive maintenance

Training

On-site training for engineers, chemists and operators, combining theory with hands-on work on the client's own equipment rather than a generic classroom course.

  • Theory sessions covering the relevant water chemistry and process fundamentals
  • Hands-on sessions run on the client's own plant and equipment
  • Course material tailored to the client's actual treatment train
  • Certificate of attendance on completion

Water reuse and recycling studies

A study that establishes whether treated wastewater or process water can be reused on site, and what it costs to get there. It ends with a process flow diagram, technology selection, equipment list and budget — not a recommendation without numbers.

  • Candidate reuse streams identified and characterised
  • Target water quality set against the intended reuse (process, cooling, irrigation, or discharge offset)
  • Process flow diagram from source stream to reuse point
  • Technology and equipment selection sized to the target quality
  • Indicative capex and opex budget

ZLD & MLD studies

Studies that scope Zero Liquid Discharge or Minimum Liquid Discharge for a site — eliminating or minimising the liquid effluent leaving the plant. Delivered as a process flow diagram, technology selection, equipment selection and a capex/opex budget, so the cost of going to zero (or most of the way there) is known before it's committed to.

  • Effluent stream characterisation, including seasonal and campaign variation
  • Concentration and volume-reduction train design (RO, evaporation, crystallisation as required)
  • Process flow diagram from effluent source to solid residue or reject reuse
  • Technology and equipment selection sized to the reduction target
  • Capex and opex budget, including the energy cost of thermal steps
